After creating a brand logo for my client “Between the Cracks Records,” we needed to move on to some designs for the records themselves and the sleeves in which they’re sold. The vinyl records themselves are colored.
The label on the physical record, for sides A and B, came first, and for that we went with the black/white color palette but added in a gold to compliment. Each record has a label on both sides, and gives both the band name and the song title, since these are singles. They’re numbered “BTCR 001,” “BTCR 002,” and “BTCR 003.”
For the sleeve covers, we continued with the black/white color palette again and kept the artwork greyscale. The band photos that we used were supplied by well known photographers in the music industry. Included on each sleeve are the album/song credits, photography credits and details about where and when they were produced.
See gallery below for the final versions of each album.
